"Fall Into Gotham" Exhibition Concludes!

November 17, 2006 – New York – Gary J. Cooper’s Exhibition of his FALL INTO GOTHAM photography collection was a rousing success. Over 30 of his City images were showcased at his Soho studio to New York’s top tastemakers and trendsetters.

Cooper’s images explore the cement and steel that define the city’s awe-inspiring skyline and expose the eclectic faces that amass its diverse population. FALL INTO GOTHAM is a brilliant mosaic portrait of autumn in New York City that intrigues the eye and infuses the heart.

Gary J. Cooper resides in New York City, an endless source of photographic subject matter and inspiration. His distinctive collection journeys from the vast landscapes of the Arizona Sonoran Desert to the unwavering skyscrapers and city life of Manhattan.  Many of his works reflect his lifelong reverence and fascination with the Night Sky. Gary’s images invite his audience to share the moment of awe from which they were captured. His work has appeared in magazines, newspapers, and books, and his limited edition prints are displayed in private and corporate collections.

The FALL INTO GOTHAM Exhibition will continue to run through November 21. For location and hours, visit www.fallintogotham.net or phone the gallery at 917-969-0203 to schedule an appointment.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) is the nation's leading industry-based, not-for-profit AIDS fundraising and grant making organization. BC/EFA is the on-going, committed response from the American Theatre community to an urgent worldwide health crisis. By drawing upon the talents, resources, and generosity of this community, BC/EFA raises funds for AIDS-related causes across the United States. Since its founding in 1988, BC/EFA has raised over $100 million for critically needed services for people with AIDS, HIV or HIV-related illnesses.

I have been lucky enough to discover this organization who does so much for so many, and have in the past year been donating my photography services to them by shooting many of their fund raising events. This includes "Broadway Bares 16", a Broadway Burlesque show that raised over $600,000 on June 18!

If you enjoy the photos then click here to make a donation. Remember even a few dollars make a difference. Many thanks!

"The Legend of Sleepy Hollow"

"The Legend of Sleepy Hollow"

June 27, 2006

A crucial step in the evolution of play or musical is a "reading," where professional actors take on roles and literally read (and sing) through the script. The creative team will be able to see how things are playing and potential investors are able to get a feel for the material on stage.

A reading of a new musical of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" occurred on Tuesday, June 27 at the York Theater. To see a photo gallery of ol' Ichabod and his reading, click here.

"Fall Ahead - Best of the Rest"

October 27,2005

Over 2,000 images were captured during September's "Fall Ahead" project! But since only one photo was chosed each day of September as "image of the day", many great New York snapshots are still to be seen.

NYC - September 2005

To celebrate the arrival of my favorite time of year in New York, I am creating a street photography "portrait" of New York that will span the whole month of September. An image will be added every day of the month that was captured on THAT particular day. Click here to see the current portrait in calendar format.
