"Tribeca Solstice"
This image was taken the night of June 21, 2005 on Hudson Street in Tribeca, New York. Being that it was the night of the Summer Solstice, am amazing Full Moon traced a very low path in the sky. The moon was captured with a series of photographs - one taken every 10 minutes, for a total exposure of about 2 hours. The streaks of light in the foreground are the trails of vehicle headlights as they drove past. The prominent building in the background is the 760 foot tall Woolworh Building, a Lower Manhattan beacon since 1913 and the tallest building in the world for 17 years.
